Anayeli, who is deaf, has a heart murmur, facial paralysis, and various learning disabilities, joined our school in 2010 just before her 8th birthday. Her attendance has been irregular, due to her home life and sometimes her health. Things in her home are very complicated. Her mother is basically blind due to under-treated diabetes and her stepfather has a serious heart condition. 

 

Anayeli’s family knows almost no sign language. Can you imagine being deaf and living with a blind mother? In spite of these circumstances, Anayeli is learning to trust in Jesus, and it’s beautiful to watch her pray every morning. She is very concerned about her mother and always prays about her being blind.
